Unlikely Garage Partner

This afternoon my Z4 had quite the partner in the local parking garage, a 1955 Mercedes Benz 300SL. Upon pulling in to the garage, the valet walked around my car, inspecting it for damage. After his inspection, he asked if I could drive it and park it in front of the Benz. My right foot shook a bit as the valet inched me closer and closer to the front of the SL.
Anyway, I thought I would share.

Today San Francisco showed off the entrants to this year's CA Mille Miglia that begins tomorrow (4/29). One of the participants is a 507, photographed below.

Those are beautiful cars. Pretty bold of them to park such an expensive car in a public parking garage! What do those things go for $1M+?

Beautiful cars

I must say though, the distance between the front bumpers had me a little worried!

Imagine leaving one with your "trusted" indy just so he can abuse it on a test drive and wreck it!

Despite (what I assume will be) some difficulty finding work in the automotive industry, It's probably going to be a story that those 2 will be telling their great grand children... "yeah, this one time I took a corner too fast in a 195x Mercedes Gullwing and rolled it over... did almost a million in damage and it wasn't even mine..."
