Production lead time

Just finalized paperwork /w Ryan at Steve Thomas on a ED. Tracking shows "On Order", how long will it take before it enters production? ED delivery is set for 7/29. Is four weeks enough time to put together the E93 Convertible?

Tips on planning for the ED trip is greatly appreciated. Lufthansa 2-for-1 is reserved to leave on 7/27. I heard parking in Munich is quite a hassle, any suggestion?

Thanks in advance. Ryan at Steve Thomas is great to work with. Big thanks!

Four weeks is plenty of time. Production slots are allocated by volume so a high volume dealer like Steve Thomas gets more production slots. I did not use them but Ryan and co. at Steve Thomas but they know what they are doing. If you have a July 29 date, it is set.

Great spec on the new car, congrats!

Thanks all, too bad I'm a bit off to the Oktoberfest... It would have been nice to have my first ED and the festival at the same time.

Happy 4th.

Just curious ... my ED delivery date is scheduled Sept 28 and I already have a production number.

I put an order in for a MY2011 E93 M3 but what I just noticed is that production for MY2011 ends 8/11. Does anyone know if this is the beginning or end of Aug? Is there a chance my car will be sitting around for almost a month before I take delivery?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Your 2011 E93 M3 will be produced at the latest on PW35 (production week 35), the last week of August. And yes, it will be stored for at least 4 weeks until your pick up date.

By the way, MY2012 E92/93 M3 will start on PW36.

Thanks Technic,

Yeah, I thought about going for MY2012 but it seems like any changes are going to be minimal plus I got such a great price for MY2011 ... and my dealer said he didn't have 2012 pricing yet and also that financing offers were only valid on MY2011.

May I ask how you were able to get pricing on MY2012?

Thanks!

MY2012 M3 pricing should be announced within two weeks or less.
