Hey Guys,
Just called for a quote for the 135, from TD Insurance, been with them for a while but have an at fault (apparently, which is bs) Regardless, just wondering you opinions, on financing the car with my rate. Im going to call around tomorrow, with a 2500 deductable it's 388/month 500 deductable it's 463/month Just wondering what you guys pay now, and if for BMW's or what your quotes are for the new 135 Cheers:eyebulge: |

Damn, my rates are actually going down to $158/mo. One at fault, $1,500 deductible, 33, married, perfect credit & a homeowner.
That quote outright blows... EDIT: Just realized this was in Canada. |

No tix or accidents on record for either my wife or me within the past 10+ years. Chris, those rates are incredible! |

I pay LT $2000 per annum with Allstate for our 2 cars (BMW Z4 & Saab 9-2X) $500 deductable (and that's with $2 million coverage). I don't have any tics or at faults and I've been driving since the '60's, so that may help with the lower rates. But shop around... |

im definitely gonna call around, thats my provider now, thing is thats for a year, and they say i can get a credit of $1940 outta 4663/yr if i take the car off the road for 6 months, which i intend to do. Dropping my rate down to 230/month which is more managable for me, but obviously statefarm and mainway are getting some calls soon. Doesnt help i have a bullshit at fault accident under my belt 3 years ago and a 40 over 4 years ago. |

Definitely call around. Last year I was 22, had an at-fault accident in 2004... my '04 S2000 and '06 Acura CSX were a combined $450 a month with full coverage, $100 comp, $1k collision.
Right now we're paying $505 a month for our '07 CX-7 GT AWD w/ nav and our '08 Yaris hatch... and thats with lower deductibles (CX-7 is leased), in a bigger city (Edmonton, vs. Red Deer for the S2000/CSX combo), and my girlfriend is a new(ish) driver, so that doesn't help either.

Just called my insurance company and apparently they don't have the 135i listed in their database yet. I did however told them to give me the rate for a 335i since that car has the same hp/torq and is more expensive... my quote was $227/month and around $2732.00 per year. Of course I have a company discount and apparently I am now a 6 star driver.. who would have thought since I had a few accidents a few years back and paid over 9k for my TSX LOL... not sure if your company has this but they said they'll offer me the same rate ($199.00) for my BMW when I get it in April till my next renewal which is in Sept.. that is good news for me!!!
PS: these guys let me insurance my mods on my current car.. not sure many companies do this btw. |

Rates in Atlanta are crazy. We have the highest incidence of uninsured motorists.
Then again, I never really cared since that and the price of gas I lump in to the cost of doing business for these cars. |

Now I'm getting scared =/ I have been paying a little less than $600 for 6 months for my '95 Prelude (I am listed on my parents policy tho)...but now I just turned 25, I was hoping that the rate decrease would be about the same as the rate increase for a new car...bleh

Well, I tried the online quote from TD Meloche/Monnex for a bmw 335i and it only came to 148.25 a month (i'm 27...driving since I was 16....no reported accidents, tickets, etc). I hope this is true! I'm assuming the 1-series should be around the same.

i don't see why you guys have such a high deductibles...
on my current ride: $210 a month $100 comp $500 collision basic everything else 23 years old additional personal articles policy and my gf on the insurance (which has a bad mark on it) State Farm being in the automotive and marine glass industry, you DON'T want to get stuck paying for a $800 windshield when your deductible is $1000... i see it way too often that people want the cheapest crap insurance out there and when a glass breaks they freak out cause the extra $10-15 a month more they would have paid, could have saved them hundreds of dollars... i don't know how much the 135i windshield costs, but i can imagine if it has any attachments like the 3,5,and 7 series you're looking at no less than $400 to replace it.. up to $1000 in some cases...

Just got a quote for a 335 through the Co-operators (my company gets special rates through them);
-$2 million liability -$500 deductable -no windshield - 1 free accident (if I qualify... God I hope I never need it....) for $1963/year ($160.25/mo), 24 with no tickets or accidents. For anyone out there I'd really recommend inquiring as to whether your company gets group rates somewhere.

I have E-Surance and pay $856 a year on my 07 Civic Si sedan for good full coverage and $500 deductable. The 135i will be about $1,000 a year. Thats pretty good. I just hope they don't change the estimate. I thought it would be alot more being a 2 door Turbo BMW. My 19 year old son with a perfect record pays $4,000 a year for a 2007 Chevy Aveo TL. THATS SICK.
