Question about brake pads

My front brake pad are in need of a replace so I decided to order both front and rear brakes pad but my rear brake pads are on back order so it will be a week behind the front, my front pad are coming in today so is it ok to just change out the front pad and drive the car or wait until my rear come and break them in at the same time or does that not matter?

Doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t replace the rears unless they were worn out. Don’t forget to measure caliper thickness to make sure they meet minimum spec.

If they aren't in need of replacement, why waste the money? Just replace them when they're due.
