Bought a Lemon?

So as the title suggests I finally bought my dream car M4 2018 only 30k Miles paid 50k test drove it everything was perfect after three days of ownership Im exiting the highway and bam get smacked with 3 notices Drive Train Malfunction Chasis Stabilization Rear Axle Diffrential Lock. Whenever I would press the gas it would rev out for a second then move a couple feet so I couldnt drive home, and I got it towed to bmw. I have attached some pictures, but this car was on the market for almost 100 days and I bought it as is so no warranty. Does anyone know what the issue could be and roughly how expensive it is to fix cant find much information about this.

How many days within purchase are you and how many miles did you put on after purchase? Most states have a law where you can return the car to the dealer if there are catastrophic issues within like 5 days / 500 miles (varies from state to state).

This is the first time I have seen those 3 faults thrown at once.
I am on my third F8x, as I have seen the drivetrain malfunction a few times on the racetrack.

I have been able to clear codes with a scanner and was good to go.
Understand I was driving hard on the racetrack on a hot day when it threw a code, also on a tuned car.

They do but you might need to lawyer up. Texas has a law called the implied warranty of merchantability. Basically it states that if a car dealer sold you a car, it must do its basic function of being a car. This is on top of any expressed warranties.

seriously lemon? you have not even given a chance at repair....dude BMWs throw codes and bug out all the time. A sensor could pop out and you could get all three above. If you are still covered under used car warranty take it back to where you bought it. or go find an indy

edit....there has to be some sort of warranty when buying a used car? I guess not. shit texas is brutal. I would take it back where you bought it, but if it wasn't a BMW dealer or someone who sells similar cars, you might be out of luck.

You will need a code reader to actually understand what is going on here. I have gotten those codes before and it was just a wheel speed sensor. But that shouldn't stop you from actually driving it. Hopefully it is just a cracked charge pipe.

What do you mean by the valves are stuck shut? What valves? Engine valves being stuck shut would not give you the Idrive warning messages you got and the car would not be driveable even in limp mode (engine would not run with valves stuck shut). Exhaust valves being stuck shut also would not give you those Idrive warnings. Chassis malfunction and drivetrain errors are typically EDC, transmission and/or ediff related. Major engine related errors tell you to stop driving immediately.

Valvetronic failure would result in loss of power, poor idling, poor driveability, etc. but it wouldn’t cause the valves to be stuck shut.

A chassis malfunction code could literally be a thousand different things. If it is fixed, enjoy your dream car.
