Extended Dashboard swap completed

Completed a full leather dashboard swap in my M3. Took me about 12 hours. 6 hours for removal and 6 for re-install. The entire job can be done with hand tools. If anyone is looking to attempt this my advice is go slow, take your time with the clips and connectors so you don't break any. Make sure you have a good set of trim tools and some pick tools (help with the connectors). Also take lots of reference pictures so you remember where everything goes and was routed. I didn't remove the center console either. I just loosened it and slid it back a few inches. Overall the job wasn't that bad. If anyone needs tips or advice let me know.

This is one of my least favorite tasks. Second only to doing a timing belt. Kudos to you on doing this!

Lol yeah it was tedious but definitely not what I would call difficult. I swapped a dashboard in an old mustang years ago. This was way more involved.

Nice work. That’s no small task. I pulled the dash on an old Jetta years ago just to fix an annoying rattle, and just about 50% of the clips and fasteners crumbled in the process. Likely will never attempt that type of job again.

Lol thankfully the way these dashboards are assembled and install is actually pretty durable from what I saw.
