Ebay CF Steering Wheel Installed

Bought this CF steering from eBay and couldn't be happier. Very high quality, CF appears to match OEM, no core exchange required.

Very easy install thanks to 'Tommy L Garage' YT video. I would have never attempted this if it weren't for him taking the time to film it and show us. Seriously, took me about 35 minutes to install, taking my time.

Am I allowed (forum rules?) to share the eBay seller's username?

Thanks for sharing this. Glad you are happy with it. My personal preference is to not buy steering wheels from eBay. Because... the airbag connects to it. I would only go with a supplier that redo’s oem wheels, you never know how the airbag is going to function in an aftermarket wheel. You’ll feel much more confident it’s in an OEM steering wheel frame imo, not a steering wheel frame from some other country. Plus you are supporting the brands that our support more by doing that.

That’s my cents. Enjoy modding and stay safe

I probably should have mentioned that it is an OEM core. I completely agree with you, I would never get a wheel that isnt based off an OEM core.

Does this change your mind at all now?

OP- steering wheel looks awesome! Nice work installing yourself.

Question- what pedals are those? They enhance the look of the footwell.

Thanks man, I was impressed with myself for the steering wheel install, until i installed it. It was very easy. As long as you can turn a ratchet and a screwdriver, you can do it. Crazy that most shops would charge 2-3 hours to install this.

Pedals are Pedal Haus... bought them from IND for $150

Looks good dude. I just installed my V2 M Performance steering wheel and I also felt that the install wasn't too bad. I did order your pedals though!

Not sure if I am allowed to post the link (mods, if not, I am sorry, please delete)...

Currently no stock for 2-3 weeks, but they set up the auction so that you can purchase if you don't mind waiting a bit.

I looked into the one from Vivid for $1500, it requires a bunch configuring and everything you might want is optional and extra $. This one is exactly how I wanted it with perforated leather on the sides, M stripe at 12', OEM core, no core exchange, price was right, etc.

Price seems on par with other Facebook/Instagram custom steering wheels. Though, at that price range, I would recommend getting a set from a trusted name like Dinmann for just a little bit more...

Attached is a custom forged CF steering wheel I ordered from them last month. Dinmann normally uses a brand new OEM core, complete with the contact plate. They also offer far more customization options than what's shown on their website.

Looks really good. I might have to do this too since I don't really like the feel of my steering wheel right now. There's a Dinmann CF steering wheel for around the same price too.
