New to me X5 50i

As the title states, I just picked up a 2014 X5 50i Msport for my wife. Didn't know an suv could be so quick and completely different as it replaced our 2009 X5 diesel.
It still currently under Bmw warranty until December this year or 3k miles which I'm sure we will hit before. That being said, does anyone have any recommendations for extended warranties? Should I go the BmW Route or get one from a 3rd party. I've been quoted roughly 4K for another 4 Years and additional 75k miles which I feel is good however I don't know much about the warranty company.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I purchased my 8 year/100,000 mile extended warranty for $2,850. I purchased whatever company the dealership was offering...maybe I should have done some research first???

Is the for a 50i?

And if so, what miles and year was the car when purchased the warranty

That’s funny I did the same for my wife, got rid of her 2013 x3 35i which was pretty quick but does not compare to the 2014 x5 50i Msport, the x5 is a blast to drive and enjoy it every time I drive it! Good luck with it and keep us posted if you pick up a extended warranty. I also see your from CT , what part ?

Very cool I’m in Newtown so not to far and I grew up first 30 years of my life in Danbury. Bought my wife’s x5 at Ridgefield BMW, got a pretty good deal I feel as I have bought multiple vehicles from them over the years. Nice chatting with you!
