Thanks. I put the order in on april 10th i think.

congrats bama, yeah i wish mine could have been moved up too but that was really the best time as the place where i work shuts down the first week of july, so i am off for 2 straight weeks. so to say im looking forward to the week of june 30 is a bit of an understatement. lol.

That's a long time, i know my e46 sat for 2 weeks at perf center before i took delivery, but 4 weeks would be just that much more painful.

I'm sure the wait will be worth it. I'm anticipating a fun experience.

Im supposedly scheduled for June 20th. Haven't received the e-mail from PCD but from the CA. It will delay my car month but based upon what I've read on PCD here, it seems worth the extra month. BTW, do you know if the factory will be open for tours on your day? Im trying to find that out now.

as far as i know from reading over on bimmerfest, the factory is open for tours. im really looking forward to this as well. i have toured the corvette factory in bowling green back in my vette hayday and that was awesome. i can only imagine how cool it will be to see brand new bmws coming together.

You are correct the factory is reopened for tours. I was so so with the tour but it was mainly due to the guide. The tour was about 1 and 1/2 hours but honestly I was bored because we went in the wrong direct of the car being produced. The factory's assembly line is like a large S and we just walked straight now following the curve. That made me frustrated.

yeah that will suck if they dont even let you follow the line. thats what was cool about the vette assembly plant. i guess they were busy with tours the day i was there so they pretty well just let you go through the line on your time, you could take as long as you wanted at each particular section of assembly, and the yellow lines on the floor followed the line the whole time.

on a side note, it is agonizing knowing i could have had my car right now had i just sent it to my dealer and drove down to get it. man i dont know if i can wait another 6 weeks.

I was in the same boat. My car arrived March 20th and I didn't take delivery until April 30th, the wait will only make the experience even sweeter!
