So I live in Middle TN and am planning to make a trip up to Chicago next week and debating on which car to drive. I'm sure there is an app for road conditions which I will have to find at a later time.
My question to the community is I have the choice between the 13' X5 Msport that has BRIDGESTONE DUELER H/P SPORT RFT tires or my 09' 328i that has CONTINENTALCONTIPROCONTACT SSR. which would be best to take on the trip? keep in mind the x5 is on 20s and the 328 is on 16s.

Im assuming X5 Bridgestones are summer tires and 3 series is rear wheel drive. Looks like the Contis are all season. I would take the 3, unless there's snow. Then I would rent a SUV with snow tires.

Take the 3. It has all seaon tires. The X5 has summer tires. Check out both tire descriptions on tire rack. Those summers are treacherous in cold temps. Also look in the other forums. E70, F15/16 F85/86. Many discussions on the subject. Have a safe trip.
