Just as I commented on the vid:
20 minutes of racing and one outcome: The Merc always lost.

Do you? You're ushering them along due to the fact the Mercedes lost in a straight line per the post that you quoted. Regardless, impressive wins by the BMW but meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Everyone has their own taste and requirements for a car. If we were all the same, the world would be a very dry and boring place. :P

No need for a lecture. I've been in the game for a very long time. I know straight line speed isn't the most important thing to everyone, myself included (...but it was a drag race topic, soooooo). Most of the time we're splitting hairs. |

Griping about this and that is the easiest thing to do. In my experience in the automotive world, people are in general critical about things they don't like. They'll give you 10 things they don't like about a certain something but they'll only give you two things that they do like. It comes down to how much weight those two things they like actually carry. I don't know that the total package concept is lost on people per se but what I do know through dealing with people is that people just have different ideas or expectations of what a 'complete package' or the 'total package' is. In that price category, you have so many options that people are just SUPER picky just because they can be.
As the saying goes, 'Beggers can't be choosers'. It's unfortunate but that's the way the cookie crumbles. The higher up the ladder you go, the more options you have and the more critical people get because expectations go up as well. I'm not lecturing you, but I am simply replying to your quote that you're "Ushering people along". If you are or have been in the industry and you know that straight line speed isn't the determining factor for purchases in this price range, why tell people to leave instead of setting the record straight? Moot point is moot. |

I don't see how that sets the record straight but we're on a public forum and I you're free to express yourself that way.
Agreed. Emotion always wins over rationale. I still don't think "ushering people away" is the route to take. Again, As the price of the car goes up, so do people's expectations. People just expect different things and that's all it is, in my opinion. P.S. Thank you for keeping this civil. It's nice to be able to have a conversation without someone flaming. |

See my edit. What I meant by setting the record straight was noting that while the race is nice to watch, it's not really something that people care about. Why tell people to leave when you can help people understand the situation?

When tunned, GT 63 proved quite a good potential in a comparative against the M5 Competition on DSC OFF channel..
But M8 GC is a looker for sure 😁 |

It's Russian John Leguizamo and his goons. 😂😂😂
I thought Launch Control was meant to provide consistency to the car and the driver's performance off the line? In true Russian fashion, you can't trust the stats. Haha More importantly, that M8 Comp Gran Coupé is a beauty! |

And many will. It's not all about who's the fastest. 90% of people that own this cars don't even use it for what it's made. Plus MB lineup looks so much better, BMW got nothing that can even touch the Gtr.

The cars are obviously visually modded--- do they talk about any performance mods by chance? The win's are not shocking but they do beat the GT63S by a decent amount. The GT63S does handle rather well for a bigger piggy (heavier than either of the M cars) but that was not tested here
