Please, please, please, BMW don't mess this up by trying to do too much. The current 6er in all iterations is arguably the best looking BMW for all FXX chassis BMWs, both exterior and interior. This is a rare case where I would want BMW to be more evolutionary than revolutionary - that's how great I think the current 6er is.

Holy front overhang Batman!!! that's a huge front overhang!
makes the proportions look boat-ish and more Buick than BMW. for it's length and width looks like it has a very low roof-line.

I hope we don't have the Spongebob Squarepants bucktooth grilles instead of kidney grilles.
I rest my case.

No way this boat will compete with the 911/AMG GT/R8.
If it has been repositioned, away from the luxury GT market, it has gone somewhere else. I'd expect a 2-seater to go against that competition. As someone pointed out, the proportions look very Aston martin-ish. And I hope they keep the GC. |

Seems like it will be a very handsome car. But like most recent big Bimmers it'll probably drive like a boat instead of a sporty big car.
It truly amazes me that BMW has never tried competing head on with the 911, and ditched targeting the Boxster in '09 with the release of that mediocre E89 Z4. |
