VA Inspection question..

So I bought my car in MD, it just passed a MD inspection. I live and will register the car in VA. Will VA take the MD inspection certificate and issue me a VA inspection sticker?

Doubtful but maybe? I've bought a couple cars in MD and had to do a separate VA inspection right after.

They will not recognize it, however MD inspection is tougher than VA inspection, so you should be good to go (minus $15).

Thanks for all the responses.

I bought the car 3 weeks ago today.

The dealer is doing all the registration stuff and haven't heard anything or received plates yet. I'm assuming they will contact me if they hit any snags.

You will have to pass inspections as people have stated, but should not have any issues.

It damned well better be tougher in Maryland since it's valid for the ownership of the car (only needing to be done on transfer) whereas Virginia is once a year.
