Getting rid of in-cabin fake engine noise..

So just to clarify, the only way in the G87 to remove the speaker engine noises is to use Bimmercode? There is no longer a module where you can buy the bypass cable? Any other way to disable? Pull fuse or something?

Doesn’t that also close the exhaust valves though?

With sound control off the exhaust valves follow the needs of the turbos, if the turbos are increasing pressure the exhaust valve will be open accordingly. you are right at light throttle/no boost the valves will be closed.

if someone has an eternal valve controller installed, does pushing the ASD override the open command from said controller and proceed to close it as said above?

You need Bimmercode and an OBD adapter to do it properly.
