Thanks forum, I pulled the trigger today on this beauty

A few days ago I asked about a deal on a pretty much new, fully loaded 2022 M850i Coupe https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2030737

Got some really good suggestions from the forum, I ended up going in there and take the negotiation myself. I ended up knocking the price down from 79k to 75k, and got 2k extra for my trade in. I took the deal and think it did work in my favor this time.

Funny thing tho, the dealer guy even showed me their internal report on this car, they spent 79k to purchase the car from someone 4 month ago when the 8 series price was high, and had to end up taking a loss on the car because of the macro economy.

Anyways, here are a couple pics on the car, again a huge thanks to the forum, I couldn't do this without you guys.

Nice.

The dealer took a pretty big hit on my 840.

Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Unfortunately dealers are now low balling 8 series trades as they see the resale market has chilled. I know there's those that feel the 8 cyl market will remain strong as new models get away from fuel eating IC. I'm not so sure about that concept as repair costs increase and reliability drops as these age. We shall see.

Yeah and they’re operating to 20% gross margins too which is extreme greed.

First congrats, she is a beaut.
Second, do you have any options for a digital key on your app?

But not if you buy it new. Ha ha. Wish I could find a pristine used one exactly like I want it, but it'd be almost impossible.

Yeah I have the digital key option available in this car. I believe the nfc digital key is an option for all cars after 2019/2020.

However, I do need two physical keys to be present in the car in order to activate the digital key. I only have a single key from this dealer, and I just had to order another key from the BMW dealer in my town.

Yeah.... the price on these vehicles has decreased for at least 30-40% in the past year. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/price-...8-Series-d1627 I think I got pretty lucky in this deal, wouldn't have imagined grabbing an almost new 8 cylinder 8 series in the 70k range otherwise.

Yeah that's tough luck. I spent nearly two month searching for the exactly one that I wanted. Luckily I found this babe that has all the options that I wanted for, and it's a good price and in my local.
