ZB M2 Build....
Strated the build on my 23 M2. Landed my dealers HEA car, and started right away. I run a detail service so requested to take delivery of the car without dealer prep/wash etc. Took the car home and did a full decontamination wash( lots of surface debris) followed by , single step polish, prep and installation of System X Max ceramic on the wheels, calipers and their interior ceramic on the seats, floors and mats. Follow that installed IND painted Reflectors, and Installed my blendmount and hardwired the R8 radar detector for a road trip. The next day I took the car to Titan Motorsports in Rochester NY for a full STEK Dynomatt ppf install. They did a custom cut install. Also wrapped the roof, headlights, and tail lights in Dynoshield ppf. Inside they wrapped the carbon trim in dynoshield and the screen in dynomatt, (highly recommend this, cuts down on glare and fingerprints immensely)
Returned home, washed and installed system X Max ceramic to the entire exterior, also put on EAS spacers, and did the IND yellow LED conversion. Plans going forward involve a full window tint package in the next two weeks, lowering springs, some exhaust work and likely some wheels/tuning. I have front carbon bumper inserts and a rear spoiler to go on too. Love the G87 platform so far. |

Very nice! I also have the R8 and will be "hard wiring" it. What did you use? I intend on using a mirror tap and if that's what you did, would you mind sharing which points you tapped?
Thanks!

I’m planning to do the same with my Escort Redline. Let me know how it goes as you’ll have your car VERY soon.

Wasn’t bad. I used the red for power and brown for ground if I remember correctly. Easy. 10 min job.

In person, it's not really visible unless you are really looking for it and examining reflections. (I've seen the car in ZB in sunlight, and BG under spotlights.) However, for anyone who is 1. is bothered by that asthetic and 2. can't unsee such things, then I'm sorry. It does exist. |

Still use a clay bar or have you progressed to a towel/mitt/glove? I’ve been looking at the rag company “clay scrubbers” which are essentially sponges.
