How long to get your CA plates from the DMV?

Been a few weeks and we've had some mail theft recently, just wondering if maybe they nabbed my plates or it just takes a while to get them.

Mine took 8 months

follow up to this if anyone else has the same Q: It took roughly 4 weeks from purchase, just got my (normal, not custom) plates this week.

Was about 3 weeks for me. Now waiting on the custom ones I ordered. Not expecting them earlier than 9 months.

I ordered my custom ones today. 9 months is crazy
