G20/G2X Dinan Lower Control Arm Monoball Assembly

Installed on my M340i for a few thousand miles, had it removed by original dealer due to some warranty work which they eliding do until all “after market” parts were removed. Was going to reinstall but decided not to.

Monoballs are already installed on control arm. However, you will need to purchase the control arm bolt and also (4) Dinan spacers to install (part #D282-0057).

Hmmmm, this purchase is extremely tempting. My only concern is the NVH in the steering wheel. Let me know your thoughts?

The most concise way I can describe the NVH after installing the monoballs is 100% increase of vibrations felt on the steering wheel. 50% increase of road feel through the tires.

Honestly I didn’t notice it much at all. Didn’t even know the monoball was installed until I brought it in for a “clunk” noise in the suspension which still exists even after haveibg the control arm replaced (bought it certified, and their inspection didn’t find the aftermarket monoball so original dealer replaced with OEM).

Always appreciate the insight Peel! If driving for greater than 1hr in duration, would the vibrations in the wheel become aggressive to the hands?

I have no issues what so ever. I commute at least once a month 6 hours each way from Northern California to Southern California and steering vibrations is never an issue for me. Nor does my hand feel exhausted or strained.
