MValentini's 2023 M240i Portimao Blue Build
Hey everyone,
Delivery Day! I thought I'd share my journey with my G42. This build thread will be updated as new parts arrive and modifications continue throughout my ownership. I'm coming from a 2020 BMW M2 Competition and even with only 220km on this car, it feels just as special. Specs: 2023 BMW M240i Xdrive Portimao Blue Metallic Black Sensatec ZMC - Premium Enhanced Package ZPZ - M Sport Pro Package 2VF - Adaptive M Suspension 4LN - Aluminum Rhombicle Trim 43A - Illuminated M Highlighters 893M Wheels Delivery Day - most people want to pick up their new car all clean.... Not me - I requested for it to not be touched, detailed or have any shipping wrap/packing removed. Something about getting to unwrap it yourself. I've done this for my last 3 new cars (MK7 Golf R, 8V Audi RS3, M2 Comp) First wash in -2 degrees Cel weather  Then off to get my winter tires installed the next day on the OEM 893M wheels. |

Car looks fantastic. I asked my sales guy too not to wash the car. Black is the worse for swirls. And no front plate either. Have to figure out if velcro or Sto N Go plate. Can't wait for my delivery day tomorrow. Then its off to tires and wheel shop. And then immediately to detailer for full detail. PPF install, windshield protection install, tints. some glossy and CF goodies installs.... |

What size tires you thinking? Maybe 255/35-19, 285/30-19? That is what Apex Wheels recommends for xDrive.

That what Jack @ AutoID did on his matte black wrapped shop car. If you looked at the pics or YouTube videos, those stock tires are super stretched, they actually look comical. It will work though.

Alright everyone finally had the tires mounted on the wheels... Once I washed and decontaminated I coated them with GYEON Rim.
They look incredible against Portimao Blue. Specs since everyone asks: Evolve Forged EF-2 Front: 19x9 ET20 - 245/35/19 Rear: 19x10 ET30 - 255/35/19 Amazing amount of concavity to the wheel and tons of caliper clearance all around. No spaces needed - perfect fitment, just needs a slight drop. |
