Happy Wednesday everyone, and I am excited to share this video!

I was able to get my hands on the new iX, the brand new all electric SAV from BMW. There are more changes and improvements than you can imagine, plus it is a new platform.

Carbon fiber throughout the body, iDrive 8 with giant curved screen and electrochromic sunroof. They really wanted to apply all the new technology in this car.

It was a fun experience and something I wanted to share!

Nice overview of the car sir.
It really is hard to not be impressed with iX after driving one.

Great review ! I had the chance to test drive one and was impressed (and surprised candidly) on how well the iX drives - best thing BMW can do is adopt this technology with the slight variations of their current line-up - e.g., X3 / X5 as is, but all electric. Also, BMW and other performance/luxury brands will bring a better overall product than Tesla, IMO.

I test drove this exact iX a couple of days ago.

I'm usually the type of person that always buys loaded cars with every possible options available. I firmly believe the top trim of a car feels very different than the bottom trim. So I was quite disappointed that this iX at BMW Seattle is pretty bare bone...black on black, no leather, base sound system, no air suspension, no soft closing doors, no 4 wheel steering, no Laser lights...and no Active Driving Assistant Pro!

Like c'mon.

At least you can see what you get with a base, bare-bones "$83k" model, which likely few will order or buy - if you're paying close to $90k for a car you will probably add at least a couple of options (unlke gasoline versions, not many will buy this car low-optioned with blank black or white paint just to have a BMW logo - different demographic). Not unusual for a dealer beater though....

All cars in the US were pushed with ZDH, so that car does have air suspension and rear wheel steering. Also, it has HK which isn't the base sound system.

I stand corrected then. I didn't know the HK was an option on the iX xDrive 50.
