Apple Car Play Issue

Morning,

Hopefully someone might be able to help with this.....

Drove my car yesterday morning, iphone connected automatically as it always does and the car play screen is up on the display. All good.

Charged the car at the office, nothing strange there.

Left work and my phone connects via car play, can listen to music and make calls etc, media shows on the instrument display as normal, but the car play screen wont come up on the main screen. The icon is in the top left corner and makes the click noise when i select it, but it wont go to the screen.

Ive turned the car on and off numerous times, same with my phone. Its the same thing again today

Help please.

It'd start by removing & disconnecting the phone from the car completely, and forgetting the car in the phone's CarPlay/Bluetooth settings, re-pairing and then trying again.

Especially after updating the car the procedure is recommended.

Thanks again Lakmus.

Ive tried a few other things and nothing. Didnt work this morning on my way into work. I just went out to the car with the view of resetting the idrive and it worked as soon as i switched the car on!

Reboot your phone??? en turn off and on Siri

I had the same problem and did a delete all reset in the settings menu. Reinstalled the phone and it now works fine.
Bit of a pain though as I had to re-programme all of the user settings and reconnect MyBMW.
