Carbon roof and Sunroofs

I love the look of the Carbon roof in my M8. But at the same time I really miss the sunroof option. A real shame they are not both available as a combo.
My question is this.
Has anybody seen a car with a sunroof and a carbon roof in the same car. Not a BMW of course. I just wondered if any manufacturer does it?
I love the double sunroof in the m850 and would have liked that in my car. But want the Competition so couldn't.
For me a perfect situation would be a roof with sunroof and Carbon.
Is this only a dream?
why can't the carbon roof be made with sunroof. Ya I want it all.....lol.
Of course

I assume the carbon roof is there to save a lot of weight….the sunroof on any cat weighs a lot. A LOT!

In summary…..in your dreams

I feel your pain though…..I would like an 8GC. with the sunroof without the black headlining as I like light interiors (more accurately ‘don’t like dark interiors’)……I can have one or the other here in the UK.

Exactly. Carbon fiber roof is used to lower the cars center of gravity to improve handling. Adding a heavy ass sunroof will negate any benefits of the carbon fiber.

If it's just the look you're after maybe a carbon fiber wrap on the roof will suffice?

I've also wondered this as well, since a moonroof is an option on the M5comp and I believe some other M models as well. Would be a nice option for those that want the M power and a little more airy cabin. Even a fixed glass roof like Tesla would be nice.

I have the convertible, so it's all open roof.

However, my friend has the sun roof and he wrapped the top in carbon fiber wrap film.

So you can kinda get both, but it's just wrapped.

We have a light interior (ivory alcantara headliner) which makes a big difference in making the coupe greenhouse feel less claustrophobic.

The panorama roof on the GC also has a ridiculously small roof opening (compared to other cars). The was the max opening on a loaner we had. Useful for getting light into the cabin but not much else...

I prefer the coupe all day, every day, over the gran coupe. But I'll admit it's nice to have that sunroof to let some light in.
Going white headliners was a good choice though.

I think the roof curvature of large coupes makes it a challenge to incorporate a fully sliding sunroof. Back when the 6 series was still available, you could only get a tilt sunroof ( i guess that's a monroof?) that wouldn't slide at all.
