Is it true that B48 oil change capacity has changed to 5.75 liters, and why?

ISTA now recommends 5.75 liters of oil for the B48 instead of 5.25 liters. Is there a reason? Is there any risk in adding this much?

It would be really helpful if BMW included a section on "Capacities" in the owner's manual or maintenance manual. This is the first car I've ever owned where finding this information takes some investigative diligence.

I guess they don't want us to DIY oil changes, radiator flushes, etc.

I added 5.75L last night in my B48. Not a big deal.
