My local main dealer had a used i8 in the purple on their forecourt for months…….every time I saw it I thought ‘that was a very brave choice’.

Each to their own, and it’s just been sold so at least two people like it!

The voodoo blue is awesome, looks great on M8C. I think there are better choices for the M8C than the purple silk.

What was purple-red launch color of the 8-series GC? Purple silk has some hints of that.

I saw a Purple Silk F80 m4 in the 2017 LA autoshow, and it was probably one of the most beautiful cars I've seen. But I don't know if such a color will work on such a large car, maybe it will look better in better lighting, as I know purple silk changes shades depending on the lighting.
