M8 DME Tune Stage2 With Dyno Results

So I finally got permissions to post on this forum,
I've got my BMW m8 tuned last week at Auto Talent.

Mods : Stage 2 Tune "DME Tune"
RSS Down Pipes

Dyno Run was at 91 Octane... Over all I'm pretty happy with this tune..The Torq is not Crazy pass 5K...Unfortunatly I don't have any dynO results from before... but this is an M8 2020 non competition...Car has been running real nice for the best few weeks and it sounds amazing with the DP

670 hp and 710 torque is a big improvement over the 600 and 553 torque stock. And to the wheels.
That's probably +20% hp and +45% torque

A few months ago I drove down to Houston and had the DME tune on my 2020 M8 Competition. I'm right at 800hp at the crank. The car is stupid fast.

Pretty good numbers but the M8 has the potential to easily surpass the 700 HP mark with hardly any mods. Whereas with several common hardware mods 800+ HP are possible. The M8 is crazy fast already but it calls like hell for a flash ECU tune!

Thanks every one for your feedback, indeed I am aware that the Car is well capable of more... Playing it safe for now.

The dyno numbers are great!

The problem is they don't mean much without a 'before' <-> 'after' comparison... or better yet, actual performance data before and after. Even 'after' performance numbers alone are useful because we have numerous stock measurements.

For me, I ran the 1/4 in 10.37s with my JB4. I think I made it into the 10.9s once stock but I didn't keep that.

Wrt/ 800 crank HP--how was that calculated? My guess is working backwards from wheel numbers with an approximate drivetrain loss.

Ya I did mention earlier that I did not dyno Before because Auto Talent did not have AWD Dyno.. I had to take it somewhere else.
As far as before an After there are few guys on this forum that showed numbers for "Bare Stock" before and After.
I think Mgod has a dyno from before even though his car is competition but at least we know where approximately the baseline is.

Thx. And understood.

Sadly, though, for dyno numbers to be useful: same day, same dyno, same car, same fuel. Outside of that, they're mostly just bragging rights.

For sure limeypride, I should have planned better... But finding some one in my area who did DME tune was challenging.. had to take the 2 hours drive..and to be honest I only did the Dyno runs for personal preferences only because DME never really shared a Dyno chart on their web

I looked on their site to see what an M8Competition runs obviously my car is a 23. They want $4200 for a tune? That’s like ridiculous honestly. I’ve never heard of a tune that much.

That includes sending the 2 DMEs to finland and the tune
So overall it is acceptable
If your car was unlocked (2020 model year) this will be much cheaper in the 2000s

I didn’t realize they needed to send the ecu out to do it. I wouldn’t do that anyway so moot point I guess.

Do you happen to have dyne result before tune?
670 hp at wheel means over 760 hp at Crank
If the under-rated stock is 617 and actual is 640-650 then you have about 17-18% improvement!

... and that was in the UK. In the US we don't get the OPF which is at least another +40hp.
