I'm wondering what has BMW done with its engines, tech and gearboxes that its new cars just humiliate every other car in this kind of test. The same happened with the M340, it's beautiful to watch!

Wonder if the M8 had a speed limiter as it was reeled in eventually...

It probably has the M-whatever-it's-called package that raises the limiter but I think the Lusso's HP started to shine through.

Add a $900 piggyback to the equation and the bimmer would've been a blue dot to both of them--there's so much untapped power in this latest S63 engine variant.

I never like the launches with my FF (I had the lesser of what the Lusso is today with only 664 hp). The car just never ripped from a dig vs the likes the F90 and of course the M8 here. The M is just such a competitor these days.

I popped by the re-opened dealership in Bellevue and checked out the M8 comp C and GC they had there... pretty sure the exhaust is louder than even the F90C. And the tips look so much better!

I think the tips are huge!! Everyone (woman) loves a big tip LOL!!!

The path of the exhaust is shorter so that might make a difference much like my AMG GTS vs my departed E63S. They had the same engine and exhaust set up but the path was shorter so there is more noise.

Not from the inside it isn't... I was used to having a sunroof.

Just saw Vic's post—perhaps the Coupe is louder due to length. I have a long one.

That second rolling race was fun to watch. Really close between all three.

But man the GTR is practically ancient now and the latest and greatest from BMW is only slightly faster.

I guess that's why the GTR name is so legendary.

I don't care that the Ferrari lost or even that it had a modded exhaust, my god it sounds glorious, reminds me of the E60 M5 and like Matt said an F1 car.
