The M8 Gran Coupe is being presented to the public for the first time at the LA Auto Show which just kicked off this morning.

On display were a M8 Gran Coupe First Edition (in Individual Diamant Green Metallic) and an M8 Gran Coupe Competition (in Ametrin Metallic).

What planet have you been on? The 8 GC was just released, how can you justify that it's doing "very well" considering that the 8 coupe and 8 convertible were axed prior to the M release? My BMW sources tell me that the 8 is not doing well.

So is the back seat just as usable as an M5 or does the M5 still have the upper hand? I'm a little concerned how the center console goes all the way to the back seat. My kids would kick the snot out of that.

M5 is going to have the upper hand for headroom and that center console thing, though if your kids can behave and you don't need the trunk space (trunk is quite a bit smaller than 5 series) then I would say go for it

Thanks Bmw but I prefer my own "first edition" at least the paint is frozen red rather than regular metallic paint
