Lol
Effffff your front glass lol, bro they aren't as strong as you think. The smallest of small tiny ass pebbles took my windshield out, it hit the perfect spot while on turnpike(95). I had to watch this line grow longer & longer while driving home. Talk about anxiety

The front glass is not thick at all. A tiny pebble scattered mine and it needed replacement. And when being replaced with original BMW logo one, it was quite thin. Although I don't know whether having HUD makes the glass thinner.
Just out of curiosity, what made you think it the front glass was thicker than the rear glass?

None of the side glass is acoustic on the G30. You can easily determine if a side glass is acoustic by rolling it down slightly and observing the top edge. If you see three layers, it is acoustic. It will look like a sandwich. If it looks and feels like one solid piece, it is not acoustic.
I wish the G30 had acoustic side glass to remove the bit of wind buffeting around the side mirrors. |
