Spotted M8 Fire Red Individual Manufaktur Edition!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
On the school run, I found an M8 Fire Red Individual Manufaktur Edition (details on this model). Gorgeous Fire Red Individual colour!

Any idea what that black box is below the grill just above the splitter? It is not a parking sensor or camera, as they are visible above it.

Pics!

I think it is the night vision sensor.

Night vision is normally in the grille. The sensor OP is referring to is for the radar based cruise control.

I think it could be both radar cruise control and night sensor. I have night sensor option on my car and it shows up as a low to the ground view coming from this spot.

The "black box" below grill (#1+#5) is the sensor for ACC (active cruise control) + Stop-n-go feature as well as Driving Assistant features: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/...iX/ECE/66_0512

The "night vision" camera is located in the left kidney grill...see #3 in diagram below: https://bimmercat.com/bmw/en/search/...iX/ECE/66_0514

Only 19 special editions are left now for the Canadian market. Such a success that BMW used black tape to hide the decals.

Damn that car looks sick! The more I look at this, the more I wish BMW would have used a kidney size like this for the new 4!

Although I am neutral to red colors, this shade of red looks great.
