Would have thought it would be travelling at approx 1000mph faster than what they clocked it!!! The gun must be only rated to 300mph lol

Oh that is absolutely priceless
Where did you find that Peter? Who says Civil Servants don't have a sense of humour! It would be soooo cool to have that Tornado radar jamming equipment - what do you reckon for cost, around £500,000? |

Thats a cracking story!
A great response from the RAF!!! What I would like to see is an Apache gunship swoop up from behind a hill and open fire on the coppers! |

Watch out they'll be a SAM site, coming to a scamera partnership near you....
Shame the RAF didn't deploy their 'countermeasures' and do us all a favour

Might be a bit difficult to fit in an E9x bumper However, I like the practice - hardly seems worth fitting it in that Toyota shite

There was a Tornado as lunchtime display at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2 years ago on the Friday. It was doing 'fly by's' and vertical climbs and generally showing off. The sonic boom as it went past was just imense and shook the ground.
Sometime you heard it after it had gone by - just stunning and my thoughts were what a potent weapon as it would be gone before you had heard it!!

I'd sleep soundly knowing Carlos was flying over our skies in a Tornado protecting the nation.

I think I'd prefer the sidewinder air-to-ground missiles (get them locked on to the targets might stop them zapping us)
