Annual RMC Spring Drive & Lunch
Is anyone planning on attending the spring drive? We usually drive up to Wyoming and circle back down on some twisty roads, and stop for lunch somewhere along the way. It's a great way to get to meet some people as well as stretch your Bimmer's legs a bit.

No, there's no need to sign up, but keep an eye out on the RMC BMWCCA homepage for updates. (Kind of surprising that there aren't any details posted yet.) Typically though, the Denver group would meet up somewhere around 8:00am, and head up to Co's BMW Center in Fort Collins. The Fort Collins group would meet the Denver group at Co's at about 10:00, and leave shortly after.

Hey raceyBMW, I went to the Fall 2007 one as well. We might have met and not even known it. Do you remember a Montego Blue E90 from last year? I went with the "Enthusiast" group, as I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm definitely going on the "Performance" group this time around.

Hey guys, I won't be making the Spring Drive unfortunately. I'm headed up to Denali National Park in Alaska for some anti-civilization backpacking. I'm bummed because it's a really great road. You guys will have a blast.
Good news for you guys going to Pueblo the weekend after next.... The horror stories of the Turn10 change are overblown. Yes - it's different, yes, I bottomed out if I drove it incorrectly, but it's not as slow as we originally thought it would be. It's not quite as scary as before, but still makes me pucker every single time. You will NOT be timing at the BMW driving school, but when I had a passenger with a stopwatch last weekend at the NASA event, I was running about 1 second slower than the previous layout. In "335i is great" news, I was decimating similarily accessorized (r-comps, coilovers, track wheels, race brake pads, etc.) E46 M3s, posting faster times than C5 Z06 Corvettes and only trailing the C6 Z06 by about 3 seconds. As hard as I tried, I couldn't keep up with him - and he was only on street tires!!!!!! Granted there's driver variation, but we were all in the instructor group so presumably skill levels are reasonably similar. My student was in a well setup STi - man those things are fast. |

Hey guys, just wanted to get the word out as quickly as I could. There was a discussion this morning on the mailing list, and Gary Odehnal does in fact want you to RSVP with him. Please send him a quick e-mail letting him know you will be attending. His e-mail address is garyo {at} northernengineering {dot} com. (Please note that the e-mail address printed in the newsletter is wrong!)

Make sure you're e-mailing him at the address in my post, not the one that was copied from the MSR newsletter article. That e-mail address is not correct.
Use this one: garyo {at} northernengineering {dot} com

Really? That's odd.... I e-mailed him right before I posted on here, and it went through just fine. (Just checking, but you did replace the {at} and {dot} with @ and . correct?)
This is a copy and paste from my e-mail: garyo@northernengineering.com Didn't want to post this like this, as the metabots will find it, but oh well. If this doesn't work, you might want to hop on the Yahoo! message board and post your RSVP there, just in case, although I doubt he'll have any trouble fitting in one extra car.
