There is a special tool which removes those suckers. I didn't know what it was called, so I googled for "Plastic Rivet Removal Tool," and found a whole freakin website about this!
What you're looking for on here is the panel clip removal pliers. The thing works like a charm. I've tried the plastic fork and it's a bitch. Get the pliers, it'll pop those rivets right out. You should probably pick up all of the goodies on this site, and a torx driver set if you don't have one. The majority of screws I've encountered in the interior are T20's. CAVEAT: I used this plastic rivet tool on the underside of the trunk lid, and I have an E90. But it sounds like what you need. If you break any of the rivets taking them out, just hit up the parts counter at the dealer for replacements. http://www.autoevolution.com/news/ho...ets-60970.html |
