I could never understand how such a massive car could have such a useless back seat. The 3 and 4 series convertibles of the past even had usable back seats. For some reason the 6 series and now this new 8 (which let's be realistic about is just the new 6) continues the same tradition. I hope this new one drives better than the last also. The old F13 M6 convertible was a decent touring car but one of the worst drivers cars I had ever experienced. Hopefully it mirrors the F90 M5s driving dynamics because that thing is just blissful.

Nice car. I do not like convertibles tho. At all! Only way I would drive one is if a hottie was in passenger seat. I'll take an M 8 Coupe in Alpine White please. .

The previous gen 6-series was such a beautifully timeless design. I'm still not convinced that the 8 is any sort of improvement. Granted, what I'm saying is completely subjective, but from what I've gathered reading forums and attending various launch events, I may be in the majority.

Probably the only M car that would benefit from a debadge. The most awkwardly placed badge

It is the yellow-brown part that makes it look bad, but if the owner likes this color combination and probably don't care about good color combinations based on the general taste, then good for him as the most important is his view and what he values . Beautiful car including the colour.
One major reservation though: not too keen on the deeply sculpted/overdone rear end. I would much prefer to see more of a simple & streamlined elegance there. In addition, that model also shows to me that BMW is having a continuing difficulty in an aesthetically pleasing placement, size and design of the rear deck spoiler. One more nit picking observation: I feel red brake calipers would harmonize better with that particular body colour. In a pinch, even black calipers would work better than the yellow ones, as at least they would not clash with that orange colour. Last edited by Old Boy; 08-29-2019 at 05:31 AM.. |
