Are those all crops? What lens and body were you using and what ISO for the day shots? Did you use a UV or polarizing filter?

Sick, this one has the aero-kit installed:

Haha, I don't think I'd ever go near an airport and take multiple pictures of planes. Homeland security would arrest me fo' sho'.
Nice pics though!

actually there's a park locate directly on the hill in El Segundo facing South Runways (25L-7R and 25R-7L)....its a typical spot for airplane spotters...cops are around once a while but they never came and ask any questions....they care about vehicles making "california rolls" more...

When I was flying out of Amsterdam in March, I noticed a bunch (30-40) of people parked in an area just on the other side of the fence from the runway. They were all setup with their cameras, binoculars, and scanners to listen in to the tower. It sucked because I wanted to go to where they were and take some pictures, but I saw them while looking out the window during takeoff, so a bit late

Nice pictures though, plane spotting makes for great photography. Makes me want to go out and get some tonight.

Its a popular hobby all around the world...but its sad that people and authorities got sensitive and disbandon these aviation enthusiasts....

But recently there are places like Clutter Park near LAX, and parks opened at some airports for hobbiest to take pictures and enjoy their time while the "big brother" can watch you in a controlled area....

the UK even let these spotters register and they can report and irreguler activities around the airport vincity .....actually ppl like us can sometimes help aviation safety since we're the "geeks" in flying....

I will be flying out of LAX on saturday on route to london on UA at 1:11 flight 934 in a 777-200. haha nice pics tho!! glad to see car enthusiasts who also appreciate planes

The parking spot top floor next to in n out has signs indicates no photography because of "security reasons"...

but i don't see any signs the floor below tho...
