Did they dyno it as well? I'm curious about how much power and torque the engine makes. All the weights below are from BMW DE pdfs, EU spec with 75kg driver and luggage and 90% full tank. 650i was 1870kg 650xi was 1930kg M6 was 1925kg - Autobild March 2016 shows 1882kg for a Coupe with 343M wheels, Carbon Ceramics which are both lighter than the stock 344m 19" wheels and the steel brakes M550xi is 1885kg M850xi is 1965kg F90 M5 is 1930kg Based on the weight difference from M550xi to the m850xi and the M5 I think it'll be +-30kg from 2000kg xDrive will always 60-70kg according to all of the documents I look into, I wonder sometimes if there are small trim changes or if they always round to the nearest 5kg and sometimes the scales just go a bit one way or the other. Did their M850xi have a Carbon roof? That is one way the M6 previously saved weight over the 650i but now that won't always be the case.

From the picture it has the carbon roof. But still, back in the beginning many had expectations that M8 will be lighter than the M6, but now I'm not so sure. It's just an even more expensive GT. |

The M6 didn't line up with anything else, heavier than a 911, much smaller than an S Coupe, Bentley GT while being harsher than those two and of course being a 4 seater didn't really line up with the AMG GT and that sort of thing. I think the M8 will be the same and that for 90% of people they will be better off in an M5, DB11, S Coupe or 911. But for me, the M6 is perfect and I'm not sure if I like the idea of its replacement being 100kg heavier and having the ZF8. I posted this in the G80 forum earlier today, I'm thinking my next car will be a G82 6MT Comp Pack or I'll need to go with two cars to replace one.

Some recent cold weather photos of the M8 coupe. Getting close to product launch.

The BMW M8 Coupe drops some camo while continuing its testing at the Nurburgring. To see what's under that camo, see the leaked M8 Competition photos @ https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1561288

Funny that an M6 is $119 and the 850i costs more

I think the camo over the rear arches indicates they are wider than the M850i. If you look at the spy pics of the M8 Comp in that warehouse in Europe there is also a pinch in the quarter panel along the fuel flap that the M850i doesn’t have.
It might only be 10mm extra but this could be a huge feature. |

As I look at the latest pics, I wonder if those wheels will be an option? And also, I wonder if there are any updates pics of the M8’s Japanese competitor, the Lexus LC-F. I know saying this will be sacrilegious on bimmerpost, but it made me wonder. They both will have twin turbo V8s, roughly the same amount of hp, but the Lexus will probably be RWD. I would be something if both drop about the same time.

I don't know, look at those dark blue M8 Comp photos from a few months ago, there is a crease there around the fuel filler that isn't there in the normal M850i
