Finally an M5 with an aggressive look. Since the E60 M5, I have not cared much for the M5 looks

Shame the M8 will never have the hybrid v8. Still think the 8 series is the the sexiest looking BMW ever . Next gen M's will be more boxy and sharper rather than smooth and sexy I guess .

The M Comp needs to be the lightweight version- less comfort and more focus on actual competition use

So for those of us who got a 2024 M8 comp coupe, does this make our cars a "collectors item"?

I feel the same. I don't need or want four doors. I get the feeling that my current M8 (2023) may be it.. I may upgrade to the last of this generation of M8, before they either discontinue, or go EV/hybrid. Let HOPE they surprise us with something spectacular..

I've thought about this route as well, but while I'm sure I will enjoy the driving experience of a Porsche, its the other aspects; the aesthetics, the tech, the BMW creature comforts I've grown used to that are not in a Porsche that are turn offs for me.

It seems like BMW definitely wins in the tech area and perhaps comfort, but all the people that went Porsche seem to say they don't know why they waited so long and then never look back.

All the 8’s need is 48V mild hybrid assisted improvements - e.g. better mpg, lower emissions, more power, seamless integration, and negligible extra weight.
