Luxury flagship German sedans depreciate like bricks. You either lease them or buy them 1-3 years used. Or if you are truly wealthy, depreciation really shouldn't be a concern.

Just look at what the outgoing 6 series go for on the second hand market. This car should be no different 3-5 years from now.

What is annoying for me is that nobody pays rrp for a 6 series so it looks like values have dropped much more than they actually have as the real first owner price is 10-20% less normally. This is even more true in other countries, my car was rrp NZD 287k, I paid $138k as an ex demo with 4000 miles on it, and apparently the average sale price was around $200k for M6 coupes in NZ

Never thought I would see the day that the 8 series makes its resurgence, only to be left in absolute awe of just how underwhelming the brand has become, and has become nothing more than a bloated overpriced transportation device.
I'm sure I will be quoted by some with strong disdain for my opinion, but I am also sure that I am not alone in these thoughts. 100% sure to be exact. :

I agree. Way to big of a car in my opinion. Looks nice, just not my style.
