Just signed up for M Track Days
I’ve done 3 levels of California Superbike School...tons of fun!
But I’ve never been in a car on the track. I signed up for the full day, which includes all events they offer, Monticello NY in August. I’m sure there have been plenty of you who’ve done this; what to expect, and how much fun is it? I didn’t research old threads...purposely decided to start a new one. |

Did 2 day M school in Thermal in October. It was a blast. We got to beat the shit out of M 2,3,4 and 5s. Accelerate to redline every shift and brake all the way to anti-lock. I would never do that to my car but doing that on public roads would be a problem.
Going to do the 2 day advanced M school in the fall. |

I made this video after the last one I did in Indy. Sadly, their tenure at Indy is coming to a close this year. It's a lot of fun for a small amount of money relative to the prices for other BMW driving offerings.

When I did it last year, they didn't even have the 5s. The year that the new 3/4 series was being introduced and they weren't out yet they had 2, 5 and 8s.

Driving the M8 on the track in Indy was my first taste of the 8. It was indeed amazing. I'd love to have a chance to do it again. I think they said they had $3 million in cars there that day (or was it 2mil?). I was dubious, but then I added up all of the M5's, M8's, M2's, X5M's and other cars they had there and the math added up. It was crazy to think about.
