M8 m sport exhaust modified !

just wanna share my modified M sport exhaust, I think much better than all aftermarket exhaust systems. hahahah

we found the original setup, the muffers all are empty box only inside. Maybe the opf block too much air flow....even with empty silencers...the stock exhaust sound is still quiet as toyota Rav4

Please clarify that you are not in Boston?
Because I haven't seen OPF on US spec cars yet.

hello buddy, yes, middle muffler is deleted too. which mean the flow all the way out from the catalytic only

and you can go to expert mode in bimmer code to tune the bubbles sound. in ASD categories. you can set up shift and down shift , start up, loading bubbles. also in put the value in bigger number for louder bubbles. 👏

I am interested hoe do you deal with the engine light, and limp mode?

Mine has stage 2 tune and also catless downpipes. It's super loud, probably too loud but what I'm missing is deep sound. The current exhaust sound is very "sharp" and when accelerating in low rpms it does not sound nice, the sound is like not even sure how to describe it, like there is a leak somewhere in my exhaust while definitely the exhaust is ok as it was inspected. You might say it does not have the deep sound because of downpipes but the downpipes were installed after sometime. I don't know whether to give up on msport exhaust and start looking for aftermarket solution or try a different shop to inspect the exhaust…

It is a bit smelly… probably I'd go with high flow cats for such a car. Not sure of how to upload a video hence find the url attached

sound so crispy. totally different from my car!

I think it is related to downpipe..you can put the pipedown back for testing.

and I found de cat is not good for city, low torque is gone.

It was as you say "crispy" even before downpipe… downpipe really shouldn't affect this… well most of the amgs or m cars have catless downpipe but also the deep sound

I believe the ASD only affects the interior sound? As it amplifies the sound the engine makes through the speakers and has nothing todo with the actual exhaust sound?

I believe I know what the issue is and what's causing the high pitch… you see when I deleted resonator I went with H pipe… your setup looks like you have the X pipe… the pipes are connected to each other

if you have bimmer code app, you can try to code the burble..

I do think the ASD affect the sound. you may give it try

Not too criticize anyone with this at all. But...
Wouldn't it make more sense to remove the M sport exhaust complete and sell it as a whole exhaust. Then purchase whatever exhaust you really want. With the money from the used or new (car) system you sold. I mean what good are those parts after they are cut off and the exhaust is butchered up.
Possibly there is no market for a new or used M sport exhaust so I may be right off base. Just asking you more knowledgeable guys.
Wouldn't those cut off parts be worth something or more in a intact system.
Could a M850 or 840 use that system....maybe those folks would buy it???

Msport exhaust doesn't cost much, I've seen plenty 2nd hand on ebay selling for £1k, you won't buy a proper exhaust exhaust for that much, considering akrapovic or armytrix cost 6x more… opf delete and res is a cheap mode to improve the sound to an existing exhaust system
