2020 840i Windshield Crack (6k miles)

My 840i Gran Coupe windshield developed a crack on the upper driver side. Nothing hit it, just started on its own. I watched it move across the windshield for over an hour while on a drive.

Anyone know of any history of this in the fleet?
I'm going to try warranty repair since it began on its own and not from damage.

Good luck with that. My guess is they'll find some spot on the windshield to claim it was the crack origination.

Does your auto insurance cover glass replacement? In Florida we get 100% glass coverage by statute. Just make sure your get OEM glass meaning the glass should have BMW stamp in the driver's lower corner.
