Help! My car's too low!

Sorry if this is a silly question but last week I got springs put on and that lowered my car.

This weeks project was to be spacers. Problem though...the car is too low to get my trolley jack under!

Any suggestions?

You may have to buy a smaller or low profile floor jack that still fits underneath.
Since you are local you might to check out Northern Tool. They should have a good selection of jack’s in store.

The cheap way would be a scissor jack to raise the car just enough for the big one to fit underneath...

I hadn't considered that! I have a scissor jack in my garage actually. I'll give that a shot. Can't really justify buying a 2nd trolley jack for as little as it would get used (and as cluttered as my garage already is!)

Just make sure that jack is a proper fit for the jack points so that it doesn’t slip.
But the risk is low as you only need to raise the body by 2 inches or so (no wheel raise)

Just went out and tried it. Scissor lift worked the charm. Thanks Wolfman64!

If you still want to use your trolley jack, drive the wheel onto a short piece of 2x8 or 2x10 which will effectively raise the lifting point by 1.5 inches allowing your jack to fit under. Hope this helps.

all great options. another cheap option is if you have some extra 2x4 wood pieces at the house. drive one wheel on top and should give you enough clearance. it’s a decent amount of more works as you have to lower down on the wood. drive the car off the wood etc

One advantage on the E63s. Just press the Raise button and it would fit
