840i just ordered, no proaction number yet

I just put in an order for an 840i Coupe to be built. No production number yet. I follow production and go so far as to follow the ship progress to the West coast port, trying to get a photo of the ship entering the Panama Canal. Call me obsessive!

@B///W congratulations! BMW can provide the name of the vessel your car will be loaded onto (including port and date) - eg Hoegh Trapper Antwerp 10/21. With this you can then go into the Hoegh website and use the car VIN to check that your car is loaded, see the shipping schedule by port and if you really want to you can subscribe to a shipping app and get alerts and pictures every time the ship arrives, departs at ports etc. This is more accurate then using the BMW tracking tool.

Thanks... I've done this before with several German built vehicles... Sounds like you have also.
