Good morning,
Has anyone seen or has in person pictures of the M850i First Edition yet? Mine was just delayed another 10 days till the end of this month and the dealer won't show me any pictures. Update. I found what I was looking for. |

Just signed the paperwork on my First Edition! Shipping in an enclosed trailer from TX to Atlanta. Giddy with anticipation!
@AM850i how are you liking yours after 9 months? Any tips on caring for the frozen paint? Also, which tires came on yours and how are they wearing? Steve |

I had a good friend of mine put Stealth PPF around the whole car, take off the fake spoiler lip, ceramic the paint on top of the PPF and ceramic the wheels and interior. Care has been a breeze with everything protected. I brought the car in in October for the recall with the back up camera issue (make sure yours is checked) and I was notified of a yellow mark for tread depth. Six months old and 4K miles, yeah I won't be buying the P Zeros again. Going to switch to Michelin with the 20k mike warranty. The soft grip feel of the Pirelli isn't worth it on a daily driver. I drove down to the threads of a set of Pirelli's on my S class sedan after 13k miles. No thanks. I also had custom carpets made because the ivory carpets show way too much dirt. Did the best I could the color choices the company I ordered through offered. |

I had the same idea about the mats... SOMEONE (probably in Deutschland) has to have access to those carpets. Hmmm, how to find them
I am considering going to Discount Tire here in Atlanta and have them swap out the new tires with Michelins. I am leasing, so not doing ceramic/wraps. Will just get the BMW Frozen maintenance kit and have both my local hand wash folks and my detailer use those products as needed. Thanks for the quick response BTW! |

The carpets exchange was the first thing I did as well. I found and purchased online some customs made ones in Germany. Good quality, black ones with dark blue flange.

Nice! Top of list include:
1) Floormats - Don't hate the black, so thinking the M black mats may work for every day use, put the originals back in for events/shows/etc. 2) Coding - Give me some Dazzle back! 3) Phone mount and possibly blendmount for my Uniden R3. 4) Oh yeah... DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE - Once I hit break-in, will take it up to Tail of the Dragon and REALLY test out the 4 wheel steering! |

Definitely get the Blendmount as did the same for my Valentine 1. Oddly enough for the Uniden R3 they only show one mirror option vs in my case they showed 3 but the one shown is the correct one for the Uniden. For the phone mount option after nullifying many (including those that attach to the air vents) I went with this one from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which works perfectly in the M850i but you do lose a cup holder in the process. |
