My 2024 bsm m8 cc

Hello world,

Officially introducing myself and retiring from the M4 forums.

Took delivery Wednesday and a couple hours later straight for PPF/Ceramic & Tints.

Looking to do some minor stuff like door projectors and possibly adding some CF here soon, nothing major until spring. Let’s see if my patience holds out

Congrats and welcome! What are your initial impressions compared to your M4?

Congratulations! I would also like to hear how you feel it compares to the M4.

Its difficult to really put into words the joy I feel. I loved the 4, especially being RWD, but it just doesn’t compare.

This thing is a boat… a spaceship even, in comparison. Truly is one of a kind. I can’t wait for that break-in service.

Yes, watch your wheel on the passenger side when parking against a curb for the first bit. I had an M4 for a bit and went to M850. Killed the front passenger rim the first day. Very humbling.

Nice build. Our cars are very similar

Gorgeous build. Congratulations!

What prompted you to leave M4 behind?

Unfortunately, the car fish tailed on a major highway back in the winter. I want to say a combination of tires not being hot enough and changing lanes (it was the RWD), but either way…I was unable to recover the oversteer and ended up hitting the wall..

Pretty tragic accident car wise. We all were safe thankfully, as it could have been much worse. There were at least 4-5 cars in my immediate vicinity and directly after the impact the car bounced back and slid across 4 lanes.

I was looking at getting another G82, but something about being back in a similar model, the new infotainment, and living with that front end grill setup (that originally I didn’t mind) shifted me off of it.
