M5 snows on M8 coupe?

After a moment of some sort of brain disease where I contemplated trading my M5 Comp for an i5 M60 (sorry), I am now contemplating trading it for an M8 Comp coupe.

I have a set of snow tires/wheels from my M5, 705M I think. 19”, ferric grey.

Anyone know if they will fit, would be a big advantage to not have to source a new set? Most fitments I searched seem to say M5 and M8.

Thanks!

But aren't they 20s? Although the brakes should fit 19s, I'd imagine.

Just compare the wheel/tire specs...especially since no BMW wheel style number was mentioned.

I'm curious as to why you would trade an M5C for an M8C Coupe? You're losing passenger room by doing so and not really gaining anything you don't already have.

In terms of depreciation, the 8 series is a lead balloon. I know the 5 series has poor residual as well, but maybe not as bad as the 8? Unless that doesn't really matter to you?

The snows are 19", my summers on the M5C are 20" as are the summers on the M8C.

I mentioned they were 705M in the original post.

My 21 M5C is a lease which is up in January. I've always loved the M8 Coupe since it first came out. I spend 90% of my time in the M5 alone, so I don't *need* 4 doors, although it is convenient. I've been offered a really solid deal on an M8C Coupe lease (11% discount from MSRP) and I have equity in the M5 relative to the lease buyout, so I'm getting that too.

I'm either going to buy and own the M5, which I do love, or lease something new. Literally the only BMW which interests me would be an 8. I'm going to demo it on Friday and at least see what it's like...

Hmmm…I know you know this but they are two different vehicles. I have an M5C and an M8C Vert and the best way I could describe the difference between the two is the M5 truly “feels” like a high performance sedan and the M8 “feels” like a luxury sports car. The M8 sits lower (even than my lowered M5) and is much “harder” to get in and out of with the stance and door style. Some things to consider between the two. BTW, the wheels are interchangeable between them.

Thanks for the insight. I'm driving the M8 in a few hours, we'll see how I like it. I'll have to really love it to walk away from my M5, that said I've never kept any vehicle more than 3 years other than my boats. Life's too short to not drive cool cars.

Also, I thought the M8 would feel more sporty and to me but it does not. But I have my M5 modified with a RaceChip, Dinan Air Intake and Turbo Pipes. Both cars have the Ti exhaust so that’s a wash. The M5 is so much quicker with those mods BTW.

M5 “is” so much quicker or “feels” quicker? Are you comparing stock m8 vs m5 + racechip? If yes I can guarantee my stage 3 m8 is much quicker than yours m5

It IS with the modifications. Otherwise they are basically the same since they have the same drivetrain.
