Henry Catchpole makes a review of a mediocre car enjoyable to watch. One of the most insightful, articulate, and refreshingly down to earth car reviewers out there today. No gratuitous showmanship or arrogance either.

was the phony exhaust, price and rear comfort. One thing these reviewers are telling me is to wait on Gran Coupe. |

He absolutely nailed it on the interior. There's nothing "expensive" about the interior like there would be in a high end car. You don't get that "wow" feeling when you sit in the car. It's just a newer 6 series with the predictable BMW interior materials.
I can't speak for the actual driving dynamics of the car because I haven't had the chance to drive it just yet but the reviews seem to praise the actual drive of the car. Although reviews still say that the steering is numb but direct.

I finally saw one in the flesh today in the showroom....meh. My first impressions of the images was Mustang. After seeing it in person, I now think of a Mustang GT. Maybe a very well appointed one, but still it comes to mind. I'm sure it's a very well sorted car, but it hasn't exactly received rave reviews...mostly above average.
My money would go to a decent Porsche 992 C2S...yes, probably $10k more...but worth it.

The M140i and M2 are unique I think. My M6 with the DCT has much more of a wow factor to me than the F90 M5 or the M850i but we'll see what the M8 brings.
