Removing Rear Reflectors F93 M8

I just received my ACEXXON rear reflectors and can't find any information on how to remove the stock rear reflectors.

Anyone have any ideas?

Which part # did you buy? I don't see anything listed on their site for F92/F93.

The m850i doesn't have rear reflective reflectors. Do you mean the front ones??

I don't think the m8c is different??

Must be a gran coupe thing.

I've never noticed them on the m850i convertible.

I stand corrected. I always thought they were tail lights, and because I can't see myself braking; I assumed they were brake lights.

but as you can clearly see on my night vision camera, it's definitely reflective.

I got them from IND

https://ind-distribution.com/product...687480b5&_ss=r

They are the same for all M8s.

The clips/attachment areas look different from the X5M. They are the same as the F90 M5 but the videos I have seen show removing 3 body screws on below the bumper cover to get access to the clips. I have no fear of taking apart stuff just wasting time.

That looks slick. Nice work! I have always liked your car as well it's the same color as mine and you have it setup like I want. I worry about parking with it that low but I guess you get used to it? I did with my e46 M3.

Unfortunately, the 12mm spacers I want to purchase are 4 weeks out.

Anyhow, your M8 looks freaking great! What a beast!

Awesome, thanks! I actually reached out to Acexxon a few weeks ago and never received a response.

Thanks I appreciate that... the car really only sits low on the sides which wont ever be subject to rubbing as its not really that low.

if you want hit up ben aka r33_RGSport and he might have them in stock.

Hopefully, I'll give it shot tomorrow morning before the heat hits. I'll send photos if successful.

I got this today.

"Hello Alexander,

The best way to remove the factory ones is to depress the tabs on the backside from under the bumper.

Sometimes if you try to pry them out the tabs on the factory ones could break.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ryan@IND"

I am happy to report that no disassembly required.

if you lie on your back and on the right side reach up with your right hand there is an access right next to the exhaust heat shielding. Reach up in there and start with the top clip work you way down.Simply depressed them by hand and pull the reflectors off with only about 3 minutes of work total. Do the opposite for the left side.

Cheers!

A huge improvement. Now if only there was a carbon fiber version? Hey @Autotecknic

I disconnected my exhaust valves when open so they are now permanently open and I'm shock they are even on this car. It's still very civil unless you get on the throttle or do aggressive down shifts. It's nice to have a little crackle on shifts too.

I'm going to replace the down pipes (either G-power or Eisenman) and install an Acropovic Evolution as soon as I can. Intake, turbos, and tune shortly after.

This after coilovers and spacers which I hope to have done in a couple of weeks.

Struggling with the install of these. Did you guys just push on the tabs from the back until they pop out?
