Gents I conversed with some of you on Porsche 911 turbo 2015-2017 certified pre owned I test drove one finally amazing car and can be had around 115-120k.
I also test drove a 992 coupe amazing car too. But I didn't notice much of a difference from a m8 cab in terms of driving and launch control. 992 lease is just Faking insane! I cannot fathom a 140k 992 to be $2000 a month it's crazy I know folks here warned me Porsche 911s leases are a diff ball game but the difference is astronomical. If I'm gonna pay $2000 mind as well put a little more money down and lease a mcLaren GT! Already missing m8 thinking to jump into one again for $1400-1450 a month this time On a comp convertible . Crazy the delta between a m8 lease and Porsche 911 lease . Delta is $600 per month where Porsche MSRP is 20k less !!!!

Key factors are not the residuals because PFS has fairly strong residual percentages up to MRM. Its in the negotiated cap cost and money factors where BMW M8's are highly discounted off MSRP plus you get a buyrate of .00082 vs .00200 with PFS (1.97% apr vs 4.80% apr).
Whats sad is even with the huge discounts one is probably still buried in an M8 vs getting a 992 with a "paltry" 5% off. My fave saying of a BMW Lease: the best days are the first and last.

I like to dump cars alot so Im almost ok with the 500 a month more (if I was considering one) and suck up the 6k in a year only to get out of the car and not be buried with the lease vs the likes of the M8 which has a depreciation curve of a vertical line . The lease while having a larger money factor would only hit you in the first year if you trade out. The key will be in getting the gross cap cost of the car down before any cash investments. Id probably pass on the 991.2 TT-S only because they are close to warranty end unless you have a CPO which adds 2 more years on to the first 4 years from the in service date.

Leasing a Porsche is terrible. I can buy easily but fear a hit on the car and loosing 25k straight . Happen on a 2013 m6 I bought executive demo small accident and on carfax it said minor accident depreciated 25k. I only want to lease .

I found out what's going on being on Rennlist. Demand significantly outstrips supply. There are ppl
All over Rennlist who can't get allocations and are on a waiting list for C2S, C4S, TT, TTS and Targa. They want to build 2021 and can't get a build date Dealers don't have enough allocations for the demand driving up the price On my C2S I traded, the dealer sold it for 5k more used than I paid when it was new. He sold it in two weeks My next car 992 GTS I am first on list he will give me a deal which no one will be discounting these and then rinse and repeat. Keep for 7-12 months lose next to nothing. If you can get a 992 on ground and don't want a custom build seems like a good buy and strong resale Edit: I flip out of cars every 7-12 months so cars that have massive depreciation I could never get. I would have been buried had I bought a M8 - that's why leasing M8's is a must then you can put on swapalease if want out early. I'm in a tax credit state where leasing doesn't make sense BTW Or befriend Vic55 LOL his deal is amazing and seems protected against massive loses.

Really wanted a 992 C2S, but cars are limited and it is still new. Decided on a M8 Comp lease. Picking up a 2020 demo C2S will only net around 8% off MSRP. Would be different if there were a lot of choices, but hey I love to golf and the trunk is a big deal compared to jamming my clubs in and out of the back or front seat of a 911.
The 992 is a very very nice car even in the base C. If did more backroads driving, I would to do it, but now, I am more a GT touring guy. Getting into my 40s is slowing me down LOL. |

Case in point: 2012 Ferrari FF (I got crushed on this car) 2015 Bentley GT3R (English depreciation- sorry limey) 2005 CL65 (V12 Benz Coupe Twin Turbo Death) My latest discount offer in November 2020 on a C2S was 8% off an MSO car from PCNA with 1200 miles. It was a solid deal but I just wasnt able to pull the trigger on it at the time because my mind was all over the M8 as well. Im glad I got the M8 but Im sad at the same time because Vic55 hearts Porsche so much.

Agree with what others have said. Better to buy a 911 - it will hold it's value well - and lease a BMW, especially a M car if you are going to switch cars often.

I fear of buying any car over 40k . Bought my first m6 in 2012 an executive demo for 98k and old lady hit me from behind small damage around 12k nothing crazy ...... on carfax it reported as an accident the value tanked by 20K due to a m6 with an accident . Since then I never have bought . I thought and still do buying a 2015-2017 911 turbo s plenty to be had for 115-125k even certified but fear some idiot will hit fender bender even and there I'm down 20k again.

2021 is going to be stupid on 992s. It will loosen up towards middle of the year. Because the 992s are so much more than 991s, all used prices are holding up. Look up 991 TTS, they are up $10-20K since March. I was already fed up with the GT car BS with Porsche so paying close to MSRP on base 911s was too much to work with. They are great cars, but it's getting to be like trying to buy a new Rolex or something like that. |

I am looking for a 911 Turbo S, and it looks like the sweet spot right now is 2015-2016; not as much of a beast as the current gen but still pretty close and the prices are around $120K asking with anywhere from 10K-25K miles. I def will buy obviously...leasing a new one would be awesome but at $240K MSRP after options the lease on that thing would be $3500 a month...

I don't know where you are located, but I know Intersport buys and ships all over the place. they are the go to primary main car resources in my area. no one besides the dealership knows more about porsche than they do. I'd call them and ask questions.
