I think that's the nicest GMT that Rolex currently makes. I'd much prefer it to a two toned one.

The LN simply goes with everything!

I'm not a huge fan of the jubilee bracelet, but I've seen a Batman in person and it's gorgeous.

However, this purchase was my first big watch purchase and was my only "real" watch for years - the GMT just seemed to fit the bill; can dress it up or down and wear with almost any color scheme

For years I owned a 16700 GMT and had all three bezel inserts, Coke, Pepsi, and Black. IMHO the black looked the sharpest on that as well. I've never been a fan of the BLNR; it looks harsh to me. The black doesn't look pretentious. The others look like one's trying to be something. I have to admit to liking the new CHNR (Chocolate and Black). I came close to buying one. Instead I traded in my collection and simplified.

Agreed, Always loved the black GMT the best. Would love to pick one up in the future....

I actually completely agree. While I do like the BLNR, the Pepsi on the jubilee is way too flashy for a "sport" watch. The CHNR is honestly perfect ... if I had gone with a black submariner date instead of the GMT it would be my next watch... but I don't have a Sub in my collection (or much color), so I'm on a list for a Hulk!

Sorry, forgot to post a pic of my BLNR. I got this about 2 months after I picked up my Daytona. When I picked up my Daytona, I told him that I would be interested in either a Hulk or a GMT if one were available.

Got a call from my AD saying that the BLNR was available if I wanted it.
In between the purchase of these two watches, I purchased a VERY nice sapphire ring for the wife. I'm sure that had something to do with being offered the GMT.

I really like the GMT with the Jubilee band. It looks so different from all the other oyster bands I have. You can still wear it to work or with jeans, so versatility is still there. It's very comfortable too.
First pic is at my AD when I picked it up. Yes, the Daytona's chrystal is a bit smudged. I do wear it quite often. Second is at a client.

you hit the jackpot with that AD. 2 typically long wait list watches in one shot.

The Daytona was my fifth new Rolex bought at this AD over the last 10 years or so. I've been buying from them for a long time - long before the Rolex craze had hit. Plus, countless other jewelry purchases for the wife and family.

It's good to have friends in the business. I have my AD's cell number and just text him when I need something. No, I don't abuse it at all.

He actually offered me an all original, from the original owner including all paperwork 1959 Rolex 6538! But alas, I just couldn't swing the low six figure price point.

What’s up with Pricing on Rolex Subs? Few years ago it was about $8K for a Sub. Those have gone up to $10-11K while the 40th and 50th Subs are now approaching $15K (had an opportunity to buy a 40th for dad for $7,500 few years ago but mom said no so we passed on it).

I was quoted $5,750 USD for a GMT Master-II in Charles De Gaulle airport back in 2016-2017, now they are $10-12K.

Economy is doing well, so everything is becoming pricey!

Why are people on WatchRecon selling Rolexes for more than the retail? Seems silly.

I recently registered over on rolexforums. Very colorful group! A mix of well informed, kind enthusiasts and some angry nutcases!
Anyway, there are about 8 million posts on grey market dealer hate, price increases and limited supply. Speculation is all over the place, but Rolex did just raise prices for 2020
