Oops so it appears, an annoyed and impetuous Seb inching nearside but if Lec was 100% on the ball he would have flicked 2% to the left and they would both continue.

It could also be that they are conserving the engines to make it to the end without penalty. While watching the race, I was wondering why Bottas was pushing so hard and following so closely when it's terrible for temperatures. Then his motor went. No surprise there.

With Bottas pushing so hard to maximum for that 1 point then lunching the engine I doubt if they are conserving anything and simply Ham has the better engine,seemingly always.

That's a funny excuse because the Merc's became the slower cars .
What we saw in the last 2 races is the result from a fight with equal weapons ! Thanks to FIA .....

And I really hope they dig to the bottom of the cheating pit !

It has been stated in a couple articles, Merc had moved most of their resources to next season's car after they realized championships where all but locked up after Belgium GP. Their upgrades have been few and far between since the break.

You mean like the US gp where Mercs dominated with a 1/2??

It takes more than a strong PU to win a race. Ferrari knows all about that. As you seen to forget, an others point out Mercs haven't had any upgrades since Belgium. They can win without having the strongest PU. They will keep their developments for next year. They have no reason to show their hand until then. So might as well let the slower cars think they've caught up and next year will be the real test of pace.

Atleast his engine made it further without taking engine penalties than the Hondas.

We won't know where all teams stand, but Honda has release their upgraded engines and had more upgrades this year and Merc hasn't had to. As mentioned previously Merc also has more time to spend on developing next years car. So we really won't know where things stand until next year.

What's clear at this late stage in the season is a chink has been found in the Mercs and they are fallible.I have stated in a previous post that there is more to their engines than a connecting rod from the compressor to the turbine, the rod passing through the V of the engine to connect them giving a quicker turbo response but not necessarily on the straights.
So how come they have been quicker in the first part..I can't see it through just the split turbo. We've seen the trick wheels to aid cooling the tyres and the mysterious 'hole' in the hub.I think these are just distractions from another performance boost which has been removed now to avoid detection and the suspect is unchecked fuel pressure that they playfully accused another team of.
